Happy Valentine's Day!!

Valentine's Day is a wonderful crafters day, so I know you will really enjoy making this Valentine's Day craft. You can use this Valentine Card Box to store all your lovely Valentine cards. I had so much fun making it. You can follow my instructions or you can let your imagination run wild, and you can make your very own designs.

Supplies and Tools - cardboard Box, Paper - Red, pink, and light purple, Acrylic Paint, Scissors, Glue, Lace, black marker, Heart Shape template, craft store

Items you will need to assemble this craft:

  1. Cardboard Box
  2. Paper (Red, pink, and light purple)
  3. Acrylic Paint
  4. Scissors
  5. Glue
  6. Lace
  7. A black marker
  8. A Heart Shape template

(For close-up views of images below, just click the pictures.)

Step 1

1. Cut a hole on the top of your cardboard box. Make the hole big enough so valentines can fit through.

Step 2

2. Glue purple paper all around you box. As an alternative color, you could use red paper.

Step 3

3. Let the glue dry so the paper won't slide around.

Step 4

4. Glue lace around the top edge of the box. You can use tacky glue or you can get an adult to help you hot glue the lace.

Step 5

5. Glue Pink construction paper to the top of your box and again carefully cut around the opening on the box. Don't seal it up.

Step 6

6. Now you can decorate your Valentine box. I cut out some hearts from different colored pattern paper and glued them on my box. I then outlined them with with paint. Use this Heart Shape if you have trouble drawing one of your own.

Step 7

7. Paint hearts and doodle designs all over the box. I wrote 'Happy Valentine's Day' and 'I love you', but you can be as creative as you like with the decorating!

Step 8

8. And finally, here is my finished Valentine Box. I can't wait to fill it with cards!

Step 9

9. Here is a close-up view of the finished Valentine Card Box.
